Composting at Your House: A Video Primer

Working in the field of education and health promotion, I am constantly reminding people of the important work that farmers play in the well-being of the general public.  From growing fresh food to raising animals, farmers are critical to the health of our society.  As a CSA member, I see how hard farmers work and feel a responsibility to consume and use fresh food responsibly.  A few years ago I decided to start diverting fresh food remnants out of the landfill by starting to compost at my home.  I would have done it sooner if I had realized how easy it is! About the author:  Laura Kennett is a Grand Rapids resident who works in higher education and was lucky enough to have parents that began visiting farmers markets decades ago.  If she could do it all over again, she would definitely be a farmer.
